This piece is made up of single layer of hardwood and acrylic intricately pieced together to reimagine the motherboard of an Apple IIe platinum computer. Half is a black acrylic which when etched exposes an inner white core, and half is a cherry hardwood etched with details of the traces and components.
To make this, I started by taking high definition photos of the Apple IIe motherboard, which I etched onto the wood and acrylic of the piece to highlight the details of the chips and circuit board.
