Apple IIe single-layer motherboard art
Mixed media laser-crafted artwork in wood and acrylic
This piece is made up of single layer of hardwood and acrylic intricately pieced together to reimagine the motherboard of an Apple IIe platinum computer. Half is a black acrylic which when etched exposes an inner white core, and half is a cherry hardwood etched with details of the traces and components.
To make this, I started by taking high definition photos of the Apple IIe motherboard, which I etched onto the wood and acrylic of the piece to highlight the details of the chips and circuit board.
This artwork is sized to look great on your desk, shelf, or wall. The overall dimensions are 7 5/8"-inches (194 mm) wide by 10 1/8-inches (257 mm) tall and 1/4-inches (6 mm) deep.
This art is precision laser etched and each piece features beautiful, unique woodgrains that ensure no two will be exactly alike. All the wood is biodegradable, sustainably, and ethically sourced, and coated with a furniture-grade semi-gloss finish. The art is 100% hand-crafted in the Arlington, VA USA.
